PRADA
Spring/ Summer 2020 Men
Prada's Men's show was for the first time in Shanghai, China, at Shanghai's Silo Hall, for their spring- summer 2020 season.
The experience included a fashion show for 800 followed by an immersive dining and lounge experience and a series of six performance interludes.
The event was produced by Kennedy LND, who reached out to a creative studio in London where I was part of as Visual Director, Satore. The take over space was a cylindrical room where we created an immersive audio visual light installation.
The installation was composed of 6 kinetic light sources performing on 1m tall trusses, in constant movement gradually gliding curtains of light within the smoke creating a shadow-play experience for guests to travel through. The colours of the lighting displayed where specifically chosen to complement the colour palette of the season's collection and Prada's campaign for S/S 20.
Throughout the night, the piece performed for 10 minutes on a loop with electronic sound design by Mimi Xu, complementing the transition phases of the light movements, altering the axes and transforming the space with different forms of light.
